Career

With over 25 years of experience, Julio Dubeux has extensive experience in business law, focusing on corporate law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and capital markets. He was a federal prosecutor at the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commission (CVM) from 2002 to 2007, a partner at VeiranoAdvogados from 2016 to 2020, and a partner at Rennó Penteado Sampaio Advogados from 2020 to 2025. He advises clients on incorporation of new businesses, formation of joint ventures, as well as on negotiation of investment agreements, share purchase and sale agreements, shareholders’ agreements, among other legal transactions. He has a distinguished record in the regulatory sphere of CVM, which encompasses acting with M&A involving publicly traded corporations and administrative proceedings. He advises several publicly traded companies, family-owned businesses, foreign and multinational companies, as well as investors and managers. He acted as a professor at leading law schools in Rio de Janeiro, including FGV, IBMEC, PUC-Rio, and UERJ.

Education

Julio Dubeux has earned his bachelor’s degree (LLB equivalent) at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in 2000, and a Master (LLM equivalent) at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) in 2005. He also attended an Extension Course in International Law at The Center for American and International Law, in Texas, USA, in 2012.
