Solange Costa has almost 30 years of experience in the mining area, having worked in large companies, providing assistance in due diligences, contracts, litigation (administrative and judicial), in addition to advisory and institutional relations with the main stakeholders of the sector for the mining, environmental and land areas. Before joining Mello Torres, Solange led the mining team at Vale S.A. (largest mining company in Brazil and one of the largest in the world), focusing on transactions involving mining contracts, litigation and dam safety. The lawyer acted strongly in the crises of the Mariana and Brumadinho dams. In her resume, Solange also has work in other large companies such as AngloGold Ashanti and Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN). At the Brazilian Institute of Mining (IBRAM), she was a member of the Board and coordinator of the Legal Committee.
