Ian has 20 years’ experience in advising on corporate and commercial contract work. He has advised a wide range of businesses including large corporates, owner-managed businesses, investors and companies raising investment, public sector bodies, funders and charities.

Ian is experienced in advising businesses on the full range of corporate activities over the life of a business from choice of vehicle on start up through equity and debt fundraisings, corporate governance, share and asset purchases and disposals, joint ventures, restructurings and company wind down.

Ian has particular experience in relation to private equity investment and acted for the Scottish Investment Bank for 10 years advising on its investments into tech, life sciences and renewable energy businesses in Scotland including a period as a secondee investment manager.
