Founder and Managing Partner

Mohamed ElGhatit is widely regarded as one of the UAE's foremost dispute resolution practitioners, with over 20 years' experience handling complex and transnational disputes across the UAE the GCC and the wider Arab region. He is the only UAE practitioner recognized individually in the Lexology Index Rankings / Who's Who Legal Thought Leaders Guides for Commercial Litigation, Arbitration and Construction simultaneously — a distinction that reflects the exceptional breadth of his expertise across both litigation and arbitration forums.

Career & Institutional Background

Before co-founding OGH Legal, was the first and only Director and Registrar of the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre, where he oversaw its institutional relaunch, and the amendment of its Rules. Prior to that he was the acting leader of Hogan Lovells' UAE disputes practice.

He currently serves on the DIFC Court Users' Committee; and the UAE Ministry of Economy law-reform committee (2022). He teaches UAE law at Arab universities and speaks regularly at major international conferences.

Practice & Sector Focus

Mohamed's practice spans real estate, construction, oil and gas, TMT, hotels, general commercial and banking. He is a highly regarded trial advocate and international arbitration specialist in equal measure. In arbitration, he has sat as sole arbitrator, co-arbitrator and chairman in over 40 cases under ICC, LCIA, DIAC, CRCICA, SIAC and UNCITRAL rules. He acts as Arab law expert in courts and arbitration proceedings involving GCC laws.
