Senior Associate

Furkan Ergün is a Senior Associate at Durukan+Partners, playing a critical and active role in the firm's Banking, Finance, and Capital Markets practice. He has demonstrated a strong ability to lead and contribute effectively to his teams, managing a varied workload that encompasses secured and unsecured financing transactions, cross-border loans, export credit facilities, real estate financings, and debt restructurings.

Furkan regularly advises on complex financing structures and supports both lenders and borrowers throughout all stages of a transaction, from initial structuring to closing. His work includes reviewing, drafting, and negotiating financing and security agreements, issuing Turkish law legal opinions, and providing regulatory advice on foreign exchange restrictions and capital markets compliance. He has significant technical expertise in adapting LMA-based agreements to Turkish law, handling large-scale project finance and capital markets documentation, and coordinating seamlessly with international counsel.

In addition to his finance practice, Furkan provides day-to-day corporate and commercial legal assistance to multinational companies across various sectors, particularly retail, cosmetics, technology, and e-commerce. His corporate practice involves drafting and reviewing a wide range of contracts, as well as participating in M&A transactions where he conducts due diligence, drafts transaction documents, and manages regulatory filings. Furthermore, he regularly contributes to legal publications on topics such as banking regulation, crypto assets, green finance, and cross-border lending.
