In 1984, Grażyna Dudkowiak received a judicial appointment from the then President of Poland. For many years, she served as a judge in the Civil Division of the District Court in Zielona Góra.

In 1994, she became a barrister at law and established one of the few law firms in Poland specialising in family law and the law of succession.
