Jan Brölmann is a specialist in IT, technology, out- and cloudsourcing (IT and BPO), data privacy and cybersecurity. As a lawyer, he has been advising in the field of technology for more than a decade and has also amassed a broad litigation experience. As data and technology (including AI) become an increasingly crucial part of all sectors, including the automotive, infrastructure, real estate and energy sectors, clients turn to him to make sure they not only comply with current rules but also consider future developments.

Jan regularly advises and negotiates on IT contracts and ‘tech’ developments in multiple sectors. He is also experienced in drafting and negotiating software licenses, source code escrow arrangements, contracts for cloud solutions and other As-a-Service contracts. As tech and data are increasingly subjected to European laws and regulations, he also advises clients on compliance therewith, including the GDPR, NIS2, AI-act, Data Act and DORA.

In the automotive industry, Jan is often involved in the procurement of mission critical technologies (including AI) for OEMs and importers, such as software for autonomous driving, vehicle electrification and connectivity. Jan further advises on the use and exploitation of data in the automotive ecosystem and advises on compliance with data protection- and consumer laws.
