  • ARIO LAW FIRM SECURES ACQUITTAL FOR STATE ENTERPRISE CEO The criminal law team at Ario Law Firm, led by Partner Yevhen Hrushovets and Senior Associate Olha Koval, successfully obtained an acquittal for a client accused of misappropriating a company-issued phone and tabletthrough abuse of office. The appeals court upheld the trial court’s verdict, reaffirming the client’s innocence. The case spanned over six years from initiation to the final appellate ruling.    
  • PRO BONO: PREGNANT UKRAINIAN WOMAN WRONGFULLY IMPRISONED IN HUNGARY, ARIO LAW FIRM SECURES HER RELEASE

    A client of Ario Law Firm was forced to flee Ukraine, including her native Kherson region, due to Russia’s military aggression. In addition to her newborn child, she was also caring for two minor daughters and elderly parents.

    In September 2022, the woman was arrested by Hungarian authorities. The local court ordered her detention on charges of alleged involvement in a crime that Hungarian police categorized as human trafficking. She gave birth while in pretrial detention in Hungary, where neither she nor her child received proper medical or legal assistance.

  • ARIO LAW FIRM DEFENDS MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT IN DISPUTE WITH THE NATIONAL AGENCY FOR CORRUPTION PREVENTION (NACP)

    Ario Law Firm successfully defended a Member of Parliament from the 9th convocation of the Verkhovna Rada in a dispute with the National Agency for Corruption Prevention (NACP). The NACP had issued a protocol against the MP under Part 4 of Article 172-6 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (intentional failure to declare assets).

    Ario Law Firm attorneys proved that the vehicle, which the NACP claimed was improperly undeclared, had been stolen from the MP's husband in 2004, and therefore there was no obligation to declare it. As a result, the Pecherk District Court of Kyiv dismissed the case, ruling that no violations had occurred in the MP's actions.
