    After aiding three municipal enterprises and a foreign investor in securing approval from the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) to establish a joint venture, tasked with constructing two waste recycling plants in the Kyiv region, Ario Law Firm oversaw the registration of the legal entity - Waste Energy Alta LLC . The establishment and official registration of the joint venture mark the final phase, clearing the path for the onset of plant construction. Consequently, the electronic auction marketplace will enjoy the privileges of a special economic regime tailored for IT companies. This includes favorable tax conditions, intriguing opportunities in labor relations (GIG contracts), simplified mechanisms for attracting foreign financing, and more.  

  • ARIO LAW FIRM HELPS AQUA SOLAR INVEST OBTAIN CONCENTRATION APPROVAL IN THE PRIVATIZATION OF A UKRSPIRT FACILITY

    The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has granted Aqua Solar Invest approval to acquire control over part of the Ukrspirt state-owned enterprise, specifically the Kobylovolochky alcohol production and storage facility.

    The legal support throughout the process — from advising on participation in the privatization auction to securing concentration approval from the Antimonopoly Committee — was provided by the Ario Law Firm team, including Senior Partner Julian Khorunzhyi and Counsel Serhiy Derkach.

  • AMCU IMPOSES MAXIMUM FINES ON COMPANIES IN THE LARGE CERAMIC GROUP FOLLOWING INVESTIGATION INTO ANTI-COMPETITIVE BEHAVIOR AT STATE GEOLOGICAL AUCTIONS

    The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has imposed maximum fines on the companies within the Large Ceramic Group after an investigation into anti-competitive practices during auctions held by the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine (Derzhgeonadr). The investigation was initiated by Ario Law Firm on behalf of the Geology of Ukraine NGO, which uncovered a collusion scheme during five Derzhgeonadr auctions for special permits to exploit clay deposits in Zakarpattia.

    This collusion potentially led to a significant loss in revenue for the Ukrainian budget, amounting to millions of UAH. The Northern Interregional Territorial Branch of the AMCU took into account the evidence provided by Ario Law Firm’s lawyers and conducted its own investigation into the matter.

    As a result, the AMCU Administrative Panel of the Northern Interregional Territorial Branch imposed the maximum fines allowed by law on all three auction participants.
