Junior Associate

Basil Elsayad is a junior associate in Sharq Law Firm’s litigation team, known for his support on a range of commercial, banking, construction, and employment disputes. He brings a focused and analytical approach to case preparation, with particular strength in legal research and procedural drafting.

He regularly assists in the preparation of pleadings, supports strategy discussions, and liaises with clients and court officials across multiple forums. His academic training in international business and finance law complements his work on matters involving corporate clients and multi-layered contractual issues.

Assisting in construction disputes involving delay claims and variations. Supporting enforcement proceedings for regional financial institutions. Contributing to the defence of employers in labour and employment disputes. Conducting legal research in high-value commercial litigation. Preparing court filings and procedural submissions in active proceedings.

Mr Elsayad holds an LLB from the British University in Egypt and an LLM in International Business and Corporate Finance Law from Liverpool John Moores University. He is fluent in Arabic and English.
