We support business clients by acting as a practical, commercially focused partner. We help them anticipate risk, respond quickly to challenges, make confident decisions, and unlock opportunities for growth. Whether clients need day-to-day advice, specialist project support, or strategic input at board level, our aim is to provide clear, joined-up guidance that helps them keep moving forward.
Alongside my leadership role, I practise as an employment lawyer. I qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and have spent my career advising on all aspects of employment law and HR, with a particular focus on complex and contentious matters. Much of my work involves advising at board level, providing strategic and practical guidance that helps organisations manage difficult issues, make informed decisions, and move forward with confidence.
This contentious experience sits within a wider disputes platform of real strength: Irwin Mitchell was recently ranked the fourth-largest litigation firm in the UK by The Lawyer for both domestic and cross-border disputes.
Beyond my client work, I’m an active member of the Employment Lawyers Association, the Employment Tribunal Users Group, and the Law Society’s Employment Law Committee. These roles matter deeply to me; they help me stay closely connected to developments in the law and ensure that the advice I give is always informed and grounded in real‑world experience.
