Career

I work with seriously injured people and their families to secure the rehabilitation and long-term compensation they need. As Personal Injury Lead Partner for our Manchester office, I also manage the Serious Injury team and am dedicated to helping people rebuild their lives after devastating accidents.

I’ve recovered hundreds of millions of pounds in compensation for clients who’ve sustained complex serious injuries. This includes cases involving brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and severe orthopaedic trauma, where the consequences are often permanent and profound, and have massive implications for those around the injured person.

The Legal 500has placed me in its Hall of Fame for personal injury lawyers.

I have also been ranked as an Eminent Practitioner for several years by Chambers and Partners.

Alongside representing those with serious injuries, my team and I act for families who’ve lost a loved one in fatal accidents, guiding them through the legal process with sensitivity and clarity at an incredibly difficult time.

My team’s work has been widely recognised. We have won and been shortlisted for Personal Injury/Clinical Negligence Team of the Year at the Manchester Law Society Legal Awards and were proud winners of Claimant Solicitor of the Year at the Post Magazine Rehabilitation First Awards.

I am recognised for securing substantial interim payments, often exceeding £1 million, long before a case concludes. These funds are vital in making sure clients can access specialist accommodation, care packages, rehabilitation programmes, and equipment. This lets clients focus on recovery while their case continues.

I also act in professional negligence claims against solicitors where serious injury cases have been poorly handled. I regularly give talks to healthcare professionals on rehabilitation planning and on calculating compensation in serious injury claims.
