Costs Technical Specialist - Associate
Career
Darren is a Costs Technical Specialist based at our Sheffield office but covering matters nationally. He is also one of our internal Advocates representing clients at Costs Hearings for both paying and receiving party matters across the country.
Darren was called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn in 2011, is a Graduate Member of CILEX and has a wealth of knowledge in relation to costs having specialised in this area since 2012.
Darren has a keen interest in CPR 45 Fixed Costs disputes and advises internally on personal injury matters but also costs issues for the General Counsel, Real Estate, Wills & Trusts and Family teams. Darren takes on cases of varying value and complexity, negotiating the recovery of legal costs for clients both in the UK and abroad. Darren has been heavily involved at every level of the judicial system relating to costs, including the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.
