I qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and have spent most of my career as a partner specialising in private client dispute resolution. Over nearly three decades in practice, I have developed an expert knowledge of this highly complex area of law, alongside significant experience in property litigation.

I’m based in our London office and specialise in Wills, trusts and estate disputes, including:

Much of my practice involves advising individuals and families during some of the most emotionally challenging periods of their lives, often following bereavement or the breakdown of family relationships. I understand that these disputes are rarely just financial; they are deeply personal, frequently involving complex family dynamics and long-standing grievances.

I regularly act for high-net-worth individuals with substantial and complex estates, advising both claimants and defendants.

My approach to the resolution of disputes is always tailored to the individual. I combine technical rigour with sensitivity and realism, guiding clients through every stage of the dispute process, from early pre-action advice and strategic negotiations. I can also guide them through mediation and alternative dispute resolution, to trial where necessary.

I have a particular interest in cohabitee disputes involving the ownership of property, commonly known as TOLATA claims. I am frequently instructed in complex cases concerning beneficial interests in property and am often regarded as the go-to litigator in this field. I have written extensively on this topic and am valued for bringing clarity and strategic focus to challenging situations.
