Sara Pecoraro is a member of the Rome Bar Association and a Managing Associate at ICT Legal Consulting – Balboni, Bolognini & Partners. She specialises in data protection, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence, and advises leading multinational companies, as well as public and private organisations. She graduated from Roma Tre University with a degree in Law, writing her thesis on the tax aspects of innovative start-ups. After gaining experience in civil and corporate law at a leading Roman law firm, followed by a role at an innovative start-up operating in the artificial intelligence sector, she consolidated her professional focus on data protection and innovation regulation. In 2019, she obtained a Level II Master's degree in 'Personal Data Protection Officer, Data Protection Officer and Privacy Expert' from Roma Tre University, sponsored by the Italian Data Protection Authority. Since 2020, she has worked at ICT Legal Consulting, progressing through the ranks to her current position. She is a certified Europrivacy auditor and co-authored the chapter 'Artificial Intelligence: a “pharmaceutical-style” regulatory approach to the marketing of advanced algorithmic solutions' with Luca Bolognini in Privacy and the Digital Free Market (Giuffrè, 2021).
