Position

Yaëlle Cohen heads BDGS Associes’ Financing practice, which she created in 2021.

She advises investment funds, companies, private debt funds and financial institutions on complex bank or bond financing in the context of domestic and cross-border corporate transactions, LBOs and project financing. She also supports companies in difficulty and their shareholders with financial restructuring operations.

She has recently led a number of high-profile financing transactions, including the new funding round for ADIT (Agence pour la diffusion de l'information technologique) and has recently represented Merit France on its acquisition of a minority stake in Carrefour; Société MBD (the BIC family holding company) on the financing of its share capital reorganisation; Bouygues Telecom on various transactions to deploy or reorganize its telecommunications infrastructure through joint ventures with Phoenix Tower International, Cellnex and Vauban Infrastructure Partners; WAAT on it first project financing for the deployment of electric vehicle charging stations in residential buildings; HysetCo on the refinancing of its debt relating in particular to the deployment of hydrogen refueling stations for taxi fleets; Icade on the sale of its stake in Icade Santé and the portfolio of assets held by Icade Healthcare Europe to Primonial REIM; and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) on the creation of “New Suez”, by a consortium composed of Meridiam, Global Infrastructure Partners and Groupe CDC, constituted from the assets acquired from Veolia and Suez in the context of Veolia’s public offer for Suez.

Career

Yaëlle joined BDGS Associés as partner in 2021. She previously worked at Shearman & Sterling LLP (2018-2021), Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP (2013-2018) and Herbert Smith Freehills Paris LLP (2011-2012).
