Career

Adrian Mallia joined WH Partners in Malta in July 2025, bringing over 20 years of experience in public procurement, aviation law, asset financing, dispute resolution, and M&A. He spent the first eight years of his career at one of the larger firms in Malta, following by a period in private practice, and a further period at another law firm in Malta.

Adrian has assisted a large number of both private and public sector clients in public procurement and tendering issues, including successfully litigating multi-million tender objections filed before the Public Contracts Review Board and Court of Appeal (Superior Jurisdiction). He has also been engaged to advise public authorities drafting tender documents and managing procurement processes.

Adrian regularly assists clients active in the airline industry, including for the purposes of obtaining an airline operating certificate (AOC) as well as for the purposes of registering aircraft with TM-CAD in Malta.  He is also active in M&A transactional matters and financing transactions, particularly those involving the taking of security over aircraft or vessels.

Adrian regularly litigates before the administrative tribunals and the Superior Courts of Malta.  He is a member of the Chamber of Advocates in Malta.

Education

Adrian read law at the University of Malta, being awarded a B.A. in 2000, an LL.D. in 2003, followed by a Masters in the Economics of Competition Law, graduating with distinction in 2004.
