Senior Associate

Galyna is a Senior Associate at WH Partners, forming part of the FinTech, Intellectual Property and Gaming & Gambling teams. Before joining WH Partners, Galyna gained valuable practical experience through internships. She completed a three-month internship at CMA CGM’s legal and claims department, as well as an internship at a boutique law firm in the Netherlands, where she assisted with maritime and international trade law cases.

In her practice, Galyna advises a diverse clientele, including crypto-assets service providers, fintech companies, and gaming and gambling entities. She provides strategic counsel on licensability, assists with licence applications, and conducts thorough reviews of policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Together with the team, Galyna also conducts various trainings on crypto-assets regulatory framework.

Galyna began her legal journey by earning an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Malta in 2018. Coming from a maritime family and having a particular interest in shipping and logistics following her graduation, she sought to expand her knowledge in this area at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, obtaining an LL.M. in Commercial Law with a specialization in Maritime and Transport Law. Continuing her eagerness to learn, in 2022 she obtained a Master of Advocacy from the University of Malta as well.

During her time in Rotterdam, Galyna explored the potential applications of blockchain technology in logistics, sparking her interest in FinTech and eventually financial services in general. As a result, in addition to her academic achievements, she has completed several specialized courses, including the Summer Course on EU Financial Regulation from the Academy of European Law ERA as well as Financial Markets Compliance and Regulation course from the Malta Stock Exchange.
