Founder and Managing Partner

Piraye Erdem is the Founder and Managing Partner of Erdem & Erdem and she leads Dispute Resolution Department. She has vast experience and a reliable reputation in the field of dispute resolution, including arbitration. She represented many local and foreign clients in their commercial and administrative lawsuits and arbitration proceedings. She has 40 years of experience in the resolution of commercial disputes that involved M&A, agency and distribution contracts, construction agreements, service, equipment, hardware and software sale, supply, and installation agreements.

She generally advises clients in the areas of international commercial contracts, arbitration, recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards and foreign court judgments, law of obligations, labor law, foreign investments and mergers and acquisitions.

As significant part of her involvement as Managing Partner, Ms. Erdem coordinates client relations and firm’s practice among the practice groups. She supervises the daily operations of administrative departments and chairs firm’s executive committees. Her position is instrumental in ensuring firm’s compliance with ethical and professional standards and oversees compliance with firm policies and procedures.
