She has significant experience in banking and finance and has acted on behalf of both lenders and borrowers in Türkiye’s leading project and acquisition financings. Throughout her career, she has served as lead counsel in numerous domestic and international syndicated loans, leveraged buy-outs, corporate financings, restructurings and other high-profile loan transactions. She has specifically advised a wide range of clients in cross-border and multi-layered security-backed financings, combining her legal expertise with market knowledge.

In the field of capital markets, Şen has played a leading role in several “first of a kind” transactions in Türkiye. She has worked on the issuance of various debt instruments, Eurobonds and high-yield bonds, as well as on the first securitizations and structured finance transactions in the Turkish market. She has also developed deep expertise in Turkish capital markets by taking an active role in initial public offerings.

From 2022 to 2025, Şen served as Principal Counsel at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). During this period, she provided legal support in project financings, corporate financings, securitizations including synthetic securitizations, and direct equity investments in Türkiye and other countries where the bank operates.

Her academic background includes undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Strasbourg and Istanbul University. She began her professional career at the European Court of Human Rights. Between 2006 and 2022, she worked as Associate and Partner at one of Türkiye’s leading law firms, where she gained extensive experience in banking and finance.

Şen is admitted to both the Paris and Istanbul Bar Associations. She has been repeatedly recognized as a market-leading individual in Banking & Finance by IFLR, Chambers Europe and Legal 500. She provides comprehensive legal advice to multinational corporations, investors, lenders and financial institutions.
