Career

Carmen is a Trainee Solicitor in the Private Client department at Wollens, based in our South Devon office.

She specialises in Probate and Estate Administration as she finds this area of law particularly rewarding as it allows her to support individuals and families through challenging times. She enjoys helping clients understand the process by breaking down the law into clear and accessible advice. Building strong relationships with clients is very important to her, and she wants them to feel confident that they can come to her with any questions, no matter how big or small.

Education

Carmen joined Wollens in 2023 as a Secretary after completing her A-Levels. She then went on to study Law (LLB) at the University of the West of England, graduating with a First-Class Honours degree and receiving the Third Year Commendation Prize for Outstanding Achievement. Throughout her studies, she returned to Wollens during the summer holidays to develop her practical skills and gain further insight into Private Client work. She is now back at Wollens permanently as a Trainee Solicitor qualifying through the SQE route.

Personal

Carmen was born and raised in Torquay and enjoys being close to the sea. She is proud to work in this lovely town. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, following a variety of sports, particularly football and motorsport, and regularly travelling to watch live sporting events. When she is not at work, she can usually be found exploring the South Devon coastline with her three dogs.
