Career

Pierrick Le Goff focuses his practice on international arbitration, compliance and complex construction projects. He is regularly appointed as arbitrator or mediator. Prior to joining De Gaulle Fleurance in 2019, Pierrick was the Group General Counsel of Alstom, a leading multinational company specialized in energy and transport infrastructures. Pierrick held various positions within the Group in France, England, Germany and Switzerland. At Alstom, Pierrick supervised numerous international arbitration proceedings under the major arbitration rules (e.g., AAA, DIS, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, UNCITRAL) as well as court proceedings governed by various laws. As a result, Pierrick has gained a unique knowledge of complex projects, including turnkey construction projects in the field of energy and transport infrastructures. More recently, Pierrick has been involved in arbitration proceedings in other economic areas, such as aeronautics, media or life sciences. Pierrick has also developed a specific expertise in the field of compliance, including trade compliance. As Group General Counsel of Alstom, Pierrick monitored numerous internal and external investigations (World Bank, DOJ, SFO) and implemented advanced compliance programs. In 2017, Alstom became the first company in France to be certified ISO 37001 for its anticorruption management system. For this achievement, Pierrick has received the Gold Trophy of the most innovative Legal Department from Leaders League. Pierrick is an affiliate Professor at Sciences Po Law School (Paris) and serves as adjunct faculty member at the University of Marburg (Germany) where he teaches in German. His PhD published in German in 2005 covers the following topic: “Liquidated damages and penalty clauses in international contracts for the construction of industrial plants”. Pierrick is a Member of the Board of Directors of the International Mediation Institute (IMI). He is a Member of the UNIDROIT/ICC working group on international investment contracts; the International Law Association (ILA); the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR; the Comité Français de l’Arbitrage (CFA) and the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA). Clients note that Pierrick is “particularly qualified in matters of arbitration” and that he forms, with Samantha Nataf, a “very pragmatic and technically high-level team” (Legal 500 EMEA 2024).
