Career

Emma trained in an acute, teaching NHS Trust in Bristol and then moved to Beachcroft (as was) on qualifying (2005).  Emma joined Hill Dickinson LLP as a partner in 2016 and, with Kiran Bhogal, started the London Healthcare and Public Law team. 

Emma has always worked in the healthcare sector.  She was appointed a Senior Associate at Weightmans LLP and a Legal Director at Clyde & Co.  Emma has significant experience in healthcare and public law with a particular interest in Inquests and Inquiries.  She is regularly instructed on the more complex, high-profile inquests including recently being instructed on the inquests into the deaths of patients of Ian Paterson.  Emma was involved in the public inquiry into events at Mid Staffordshire NHS Foundation Trust and the recent infected blood inquiry. 

Emma became a solicitor-advocate in 2010 and regularly represents clients at inquests and court of protection hearings without instructing counsel.
