Career history

Jamie trained at Linklaters and qualified into the Corporate Department. Following spells at Bevan Brittan and Hempsons, becoming a partner at the latter in 2009, he joined Hill Dickinson as a partner in 2019.

Specialisms

Jamie is a Commercial and Regulatory lawyer advising clients in the health and life sciences sectors. Clients include life sciences businesses, academic institutions, public sector health organisations, and listed/private healthcare providers.

Jamie advises on all types of commercial contracting arrangements, including supply, distribution, outsourcing and technology agreements, as well as collaborations and joint ventures, public procurement and intellectual property rights. He also advises on regulatory frameworks applicable to commercial arrangements for clients in these sectors, including advising on MHRA and CMA compliance.

Sector support

Jamie frequently lecture on life sciences and health topics, including on the regulation and adoption of AI, to UK networks such as the Science & Engineering Health Technologies Alliance, Barts Life Sciences, the Independent Doctors Federation (IDF) and UK Health Innovation Networks.

Jamie also co-hosts with the Health Innovation Network South London a regular AI in Healthcare Forum and is currently supporting Innovate UK’s immersive technology Mindset programme.

Jamie works for clients internationally, with a particular interest in the Middle East, attending key conferences for many years. For example, he presented at an event exploring investment and PPP issues for the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia at the Global Health Exhibition in Riyadh in October 2024.
