Qualified in 1998 into corporate, joining Frere Cholmely Bischoff in London (becoming Forsters).

2000, Speechly Bircham, London, working on mainstream corporate and M&A and equity capital markets acting for issuer and investment banks .

2005, moved from London to Leeds and joined Pinsent Masons in Leeds as a senior associate. Made up as a partner in 2008.

2013, Eversheds as a corporate partner.

2023 joined Hill Dickinson as a corporate partner.

Member of the local advisory group of the London Stock Exchange.

Alison has worked hard as a full time lawyer with three children, being promoted as corporate partner with Pinsent Masons in 2008, with a young family, and from 2013 to 2023 with a national leadership role in Eversheds Sutherland public advisory team. Actively mentoring working women with families and promoting diversity at a time when there were more divisions in the corporate private practice and challenging the use of gender stereotypes in legal documents and around the boardroom table.
