Career

Amy trained at Shulmans Solicitors and qualified in 2008 into Employment law.

After spending the first few years of her career practicing in general/commercial Employment Law at Ward Hadaway, she moved into Health Employment in 2011 at Hempsons Solicitors, before moving to DAC Beachcroft in 2013.

When a number of the Health Partners made the decision to move from DAC Beachcroft to Capsticks (Leeds), Amy was asked to move with them and therefore Amy moved to Capsticks in 2014 and spent the next 5 years of her career there, being promoted from Senior Solicitor to Associate in that time.

In May 2019 Amy moved to the newly established Hill Dickinson Leeds office as a Legal Director, setting up the Health Employment team in Leeds. In July 2022 Amy was promoted to Partner, and in July 2024, she was made up to Full Equity Partner.

As of March 2025, Amy leads a team of 6 fee earners (5 Associates and 1 Trainee) in Health Employment Leeds, and the team is set to grow further with 2 anticipated recruits in 2025 - a Senior Associate/Legal Director hire, together with a Paralegal.

Given Amy’s strong links with the Health Employment sector, Amy was also asked to join the Healthcare People Management Association (‘HPMA’) Board of Trustees and took up her tenure in January 2025.
