Position

Amie Pine is a Partner at Vardags, advising on the full spectrum of family law issues, with particular expertise in complex financial matters and children cases.

Amie’s practice includes high-value divorce and financial remedy cases involving business assets and farming interests, complex children matters including relocation and safeguarding issues, cases involving serious allegations and vulnerable parties, and strategic litigation and negotiation in emotionally charged disputes.

Known as a “ferocious advocate”, Amie is celebrated for her honest, empathetic approach and tireless dedication to her clients, who have praised her for giving them “hope in humanity” and doing “more than just a job”.

Career

Amie began her legal career at the Bar before cross-qualifying as a solicitor. At her previous firm, she quickly rose through the ranks, being made partner within just 4 years at the age of 30. She joined Vardags with a strong background in litigation and quickly established herself as a leading figure in the firm’s Manchester office, where she has quickly been able to develop a new team to the Vardags family.

Education

Amie studied Law at the University of Cambridge, graduating with a 2:1. She completed the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) at Nottingham Law School before being called to the Bar in 2010 and later cross-qualifying as a solicitor.

Leisure

In her pre-children days, Amie was a fully qualified football referee and would officiate in men’s football. In her more recent post-children days, Amie’s weekends are largely dominated by her son’s footballing achievements, where she is resigned to the sidelines. She is also kept busy with her 2 dogs.
