Divorce and Family Law

Anna Jones is an Associate in Vardags’ Cambridge office, advising on a broad range of family law matters. She is described as a “first-rate solicitor with excellent skills,” and praised for her “thorough and clearly explained” advice. Anna is particularly recognised for her work in children cases and complex financial arrangements, including those involving farming interests, property portfolios, and international assets. 

Anna’s legal career is marked by a diverse and well-rounded foundation. Before qualifying as a solicitor, she worked as a senior consultant in legal recruitment and volunteered with Citizens Advice. She began her legal training at a full-service firm in Dorset and Wiltshire, completing seats in commercial, agricultural, private client, and family law. 

Upon qualification, Anna moved to Cambridge, where she worked for a respected local firm before joining a specialist national family law practice. Most recently, she was promoted to Associate at a regional firm before joining Vardags. 

Anna’s practice includes: 

Financial arrangements on divorce, including complex asset structures  Children matters involving domestic abuse, international relocation, and special educational needs  Pre- and post-nuptial agreements  Cohabitation agreements  Protective injunctions 

Anna speaks native English, with elementary French.

Anna is the Secretary of the Cambridge & West Suffolk branch of Resolution, promoting constructive approaches to family law. 

Anna studied Law at Queen Mary, University of London attaining a 2:1 (Hons).  Whilst studying, she was the winner of the George Hinde Mooting Competition judged by the Rt Hon Sir Stanley Burnton, a former Lord Justice of Appeal. She then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Bournemouth University. 

Since qualifying, Anna has continued her education and achieved a Certificate in Understanding Autism (Level 2) in 2023. 

In her spare time, Anna enjoys cooking, going to the gym, and running.
