Giulio has focused on all legal issues concerning personal data protection, Internet and e-commerce, cybersecurity, new technologies — including artificial intelligence, blockchain and smart contracts — and IT law.

He advises clients on the full range of complex legal issues relating to the use of technology systems and data privacy, including: cybersecurity, information governance, protection of databases, data mining, big data and predictive analyses, Internet of Things, user-generated content, social networks, profiling, cookies and adtech, employee monitoring, whistleblowing hotlines, geo-location-based services, cross-border transfers of data, and biometric and genetic data, as well as the application of new technologies in the Life Sciences and Healthcare, Fintech and Insurtech sectors. He supports clients by providing legal advice, privacy-by-design and privacy-by-default assessments, data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and audits.

He graduated in Law from the University of Parma in 2006 and from the Catholic University of Ávila in 2010. He has also obtained the "Expert European Privacy Auditor / Lead Auditor" certification under the ISDP©10003 certification scheme.
