Yana Trynova is a Professor at the Department of Criminal Law and Criminal Executive Law of the Penitentiary Academy of Ukraine. More than 200 research and methodological publications have been published by her, in addition to several draft laws submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
