Mr. Abdulaziz Taher Alkhateeb is the Founding Partner of Taher Group Law Firm and one of the most established legal figures in Kuwait, with nearly five decades of experience before the Kuwaiti courts, including the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation.

Since founding the firm in 1969, he has played a defining role in shaping its position as a leading full-service law firm, guiding its strategic direction and overseeing its growth both locally and internationally.

Mr. Alkhateeb is widely recognized for his expertise in commercial law, corporate governance, taxation, and commercial arbitration. He has advised on complex legal and investment matters, representing both local and international investors, and has led the structuring of high-value commercial arrangements in alignment with Kuwaiti law and regulatory frameworks.

Under his leadership, the firm has supported major investment entities and international businesses in navigating legal and commercial operations in Kuwait, reinforcing its reputation as a trusted advisor for sophisticated mandates.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Alkhateeb has made significant academic and intellectual contributions to the legal field in Kuwait. He is the author of several recognized legal publications, including works on statute limitations and criminalization frameworks in non-penal laws, as well as specialized writings in corporate governance, taxation, zakat, and arbitration.

He has published over 140 legal articles in the press and has been actively engaged in public legal discourse through media appearances, conferences, and the delivery of specialized legal training programs.

Mr. Abdulaziz Taher Alkhateeb is an accredited arbitrator at the Commercial Arbitration Center of the Gulf Cooperation Council, the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association, reflecting his longstanding role in regional and local dispute resolution.

He has held several prominent institutional positions, including serving as a Board Member of the Kuwait Judicial Institute and as a member of the Board of the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association. He also serves on the Governmental Advisory Committee of the General Secretariat of Endowments in the State of Kuwait.

Mr. Alkhateeb has played an active role in legislative development in Kuwait through his participation in drafting and amending a number of key laws. He has chaired several high-level committees, including the Law Editing Committee, the Law of Rents Committee, and the Committee for the Amendment of Personal Status Laws, contributing to the evolution of the legal framework in the State of Kuwait.
