Managing Partner

Dr. Fawaz Khaled Alkhateeb is the Managing Partner of Taher Group Law Firm, advising on complex corporate, financial, and criminal matters, as well as high-stakes dispute resolution.

He is admitted to practice before all Kuwaiti courts, including the Constitutional Court and the Court of Cassation. Dr. Alkhateeb holds a PhD in Financial Law from Durham University (UK), an LL.M. in Law from the University of Manchester (UK), and an LL.B. from Kuwait University.

His practice focuses on criminal law, financial and corporate crimes, and capital market offences. He has represented clients in complex and sensitive matters, including cases involving national security, financial crimes, money laundering, and regulatory investigations, as well as medical malpractice.

Dr. Alkhateeb combines legal practice with strong academic and institutional engagement. He previously served as Co-Convener of the Institute of Commercial and Corporate Law at Durham University and currently serves as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Kuwait International Law School (KILAW).

He holds several institutional roles, including membership on the Board of the Kuwait Institute for Advocacy and Legal Studies under the Kuwaiti Lawyers Association. He has also chaired multiple committees within the Association, including committees related to constitutional defence, protection of lawyers, and criminal law review.

In addition to his litigation and advisory work, he is a registered arbitrator at the Commercial Arbitration Center of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a registered Court Receiver with the Ministry of Justice in Kuwait.
