Junior Associate, Registered DIFC Wills Draftsman

Lakshmi Omanakuttan L is a Junior Associate in the Corporate
& Commercial team at Fichte & Co, based in Dubai.
She brings over seven years of professional experience
across India and the UAE, with a solid background
in litigation, arbitration, and debt recovery, and a proven
track record in handling complex commercial and civil matters.

Lakshmi has extensive hands-on experience before
UAE courts and arbitral forums, including DIFC and ADGM,
as well as prior advocacy experience before Indian courts.

In her current role, Lakshmi supports the firm’s corporate
and commercial practice, advising on UAE company
law, employment law, regulatory compliance, and corporate
structuring. She is actively involved in drafting and reviewing
corporate and commercial agreements, assisting
with company incorporations and restructurings, and
liaising with government departments and free zone authorities.
Her work is supported by thorough legal research
and the preparation of clear, well-reasoned legal opinions.

Prior to joining Fichte & Co, Lakshmi worked with UAE-based
law firms where she handled litigation, arbitration, and debt
recovery matters, including disputes under DIFC, ADGM, ICC,
and DIAC rules, as well as construction, employment, and
family law matters. She has also assisted counsel in preparing
pleadings, skeleton arguments, and case strategies, contributing
to favourable judgments and successful settlements.

Lakshmi is admitted as an Advocate in India and is registered
as a Sole Practitioner with the Abu Dhabi Global Market
Courts. Her diverse professional background, combined
with strong drafting skills and cross-jurisdictional experience,
allows her to contribute effectively to both contentious and
non-contentious corporate matters.
