Position
Katya Ascher advises her clients on the structuring and negotiation of strategic agreements, including collaboration, licensing, option, and technology acquisition deals, with a particular expertise in the life sciences sector. She assists companies in negotiating research and development agreements (including clinical development), manufacturing, service and supply, marketing, and distribution agreements. Katya regularly draws on her technical training in biology to better understand the innovations driving the deals, enabling her to provide more informed and effective counsel to her clients.
Career
Admitted to the New York and Paris Bars and as solicitor in England and Wales, Katya has practiced at leading law firms in the United States, the United Kingdom and France. Katya also gained valuable insight into the functioning and unique concerns of non-profit research institutions while heading the Intellectual Property division of the Legal Department of the Pasteur Institute.
