Lisanne advises on various aspects of food law and advertising law, including health and medical claims, food safety aspects (recalls), labelling, sustainability claims and promotions. Lisanne assists clients with enforcement action (e.g. confiscation of goods, warnings, fines and recalls) from the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority (NVWA). She also represents clients before self-regulatory bodies and administrative law courts. Together with Ebba Hoogenraad Lisanne represented clients successfully before the administrative law courts on the fundamental question whether medical claims for food should be fined under the Dutch Medicines Act.
