Career

As a member of the firm’s Dispute Resolution & Risk Management team, Polina Tšernjak assists clients mainly in issues both general and complex involving court disputes. She is very interested in international disputes, including arbitration. Sorainen has given her the privilege of working with a wide variety of legal issues, allowing her to broaden her horizons and gain professional knowledge, as well as to use and develop existing skills. 

𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Polina is one of Estonia’s most recognised experts in sports law. Her experience includes advising sports federations, club representatives, coaches, and athletes, as well as successfully representing them in various disputes, including disciplinary and anti-doping matters. Polina has drafted a range of legal documents such as statutes, coaching agreements, athlete support contracts, and demand letters.

𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. Polina is committed to broadening perspectives and developing skills in an international context. She has represented the University of Tartu at the EU Law Moot Court Competition – the first team from the university to reach the finals and present before judges of the Court of Justice of the European Union. She also has participated in international negotiation competitions, enhancing advocacy and cross-cultural negotiation skills.
