Senior Associate

Raul Kartsep is a member of our Dispute Resolution & Risk Management practice group since 2017. He has experience in several fields of law, such as commercial transactions, insolvencies, torts, and criminal matters. Still, his main interest lies in arbitration disputes. Raul respects people’s sincerity and genuineness. He strives to think strategically and create success out of a mess.

𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀. Raul has represented clients in local courts and international arbitration, including acting as lead counsel in a London-seated ad hoc arbitration as part of a multinational team.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿. His interest in arbitration began during his studies, when Raul researched confidential Estonian case law and wrote his master’s thesis on the annulment of arbitration awards. This academic foundation, combined with more than eight years of practical experience, enables him to advise clients confidently on all aspects of arbitration. Raul continues to follow and research annulment decisions and contributes to the development of the field as a founding member of the Estonian Arbitration Association.
