Elena Burova, LL.M, MCIArb is a Senior Associate with dispute resolution group of LGP based in Dubai.

Elena's profile as a counsel includes investment and commercial arbitrations, cross-border litigations, inter-State proceedings and public international law matters.  She represented both investors and sovereign States in investment arbitrations under the rules of UNCITRAL, SCC, ICSID, with seats in the Hague, Geneva, Stockholm and Paris, as well as in pre-arbitral negotiations. Elena acted in commercial arbitrations under the rules of LCIA, ICC, SCC, VIAC, DIAC, RAC at RIMA and has institutional experience with RAC at RIMA and SCC.  Further, she provides sanctions-related advice, both in contentious and non-contentious matters.

Elena's profile as an arbitrator includes appointments as a sole arbitrator under the rules of DIAC and RAC at RIMA. She is included in the DIAC List of Arbitrators and internal list of Arbitrate AD, as well as listed in the Next Generation of Russian Arbitrators Guide.

Elena Burova holds LL.M. in Investment Treaty Arbitration (Uppsala University 2016) and graduated with honours from MGIMO-University (Moscow). She has a full right of audience in the DIFC Courts and registered with the Moscow City Bar.

She regularly publishes and speaks on the current arbitration topics. In 2024, Elena co-authored a book “International Investment Law” - the first comprehensive book on the topic in Russian published by the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC).
