About
After completing the 1st and 2nd bar examinations in Germany (2002 and 2004), Bernd Hauck sat the requisite exams for admittance to the bar in Canton Basel-Stadt (2007) and received his doctorate (Dr. iur.) from the University of Basel. Since 2007 Bernd Hauck has been practicing as an attorney at law in Switzerland and Germany.
One focus of his practice is on construction contracts (SIA and KBOB contracts), engineering and design contracts (in particular SIA and KBOB contract templates), and public procurement law, all with a special focus on sustainability topics. Furthermore, Bernd Hauck advises in the fields of commercial law (in particular complex contracts and GTCs) and labor law (in particular cross-border issues). Bernd Hauck regularly gives lectures on the aforementioned topics. He also runs training courses for companies with an interest in this area.
His practice includes conducting national and international civil litigation and arbitration proceedings. Bernd Hauck is a member of various legal associations and benefits from an excellent international network of contacts.
