Years of professional experience:  Almost two decades

Fousia completed her Masters in Law (LL.M), specialization in Human Rights and Environmental law from the School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) in the year 2006. She enrolled as an advocate in the year 2004 before the Bar Council of Kerala after receiving her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Govt. Law College Calicut, University of Calicut.

Fousia focuses on employment and labour matters and is recognized as a leading practitioner in the area of labour and employment law in the Sultanate of Oman, for contentious and non-contentious matters.

Fousia specializes in drafting/review of employment contracts, human resource policies and penalty regulations, employee transfers, deployment structuring, secondment matter and labour disputes, where she plays an important role in pre-trial strategy formulation.

On the corporate side, Fousia works with the corporate team on various corporate-commercial transactions and as a focal contact for reputed clients. She handles various assignments such as share transfers, entity incorporations, reviewing and preparing various contracts, closure of entities, general corporate advisory more particularly those relating to the drafting, and reviewing all legal documents in English.  She provides legal advice on various issues involved in labor, employment, and immigration matters wherein she reviews/drafts employment contracts, HR Manuals, settlement agreements, and termination notices.

Fousia speaks English, Hindi and Malayalam.
