Senior Associate

Ossama El Hossary, Senior Associate, joined Zaki Hashem, Attorneys at Law, in 2016 with a focus on the practice of dispute resolution and litigation. He provides support to various civil, commercial, criminal, and telecommunication cases and attends before courts of all natures and degrees. He is well-versed in drafting legal memoranda, statements of claim, and statements of defence - and in preparing and drafting contracts. Ossama also provides legal opinions related to different legal areas including Civil Law, Labor Law, Criminal Law, Tenders and Auctions Law and the Central Bank Law. Additionally, he undertakes the procedures of registering real estate properties and enforcing legal judgments.

With 15 years of experience, selected examples of cases he has recently handled include: • Representing United Company for Oils and Foods in the case filed by a former employee and demanding EGP 14.9 million for alleged material and moral damage. (In progress) • Representing the Arab Bank in the case filed against the Ministers of Justice and Finance as related to bankruptcy funds. (In progress) • Representing Otis Elevators Egypt in the case filed to approve the dismissal of one of its employees on the basis of embezzlement. (In progress) • Representing Philips Medical Systems Egypt in the case filed against Nawah Medical Investment Company requesting EGP 12 million for the supply and installation of medical equipment. Ossama is member of the Egyptian Bar Association since 2011 and was admitted before the Court of Appeal in 2018. He is proficient in Arabic and English.

He achieved the LL.B. from Ain Shams University, Egypt, in 2010.
