Mahasti Razavi, partner at August Debouzy, provides both advisory and litigation support on legal issues related to major technological and digital transformations within a highly regulated environment, particularly at the European level.
She assists key players in the technology, new economy (Next 40), finance, luxury, hospitality, retail, services, and telecoms industries with their Tech projects and their compliance with key European regulations such as the AI Act, DORA, Data Act, DMA, DSA, and NIS 2. Her unique approach lies in transforming regulations into a strategic asset for positioning companies in the market.
For 30 years, Mahasti has served as a strategic advisor to organizations, leveraging a cross-disciplinary approach to complex issues and a strong international background, enriched by her experience working in the United States and her admission to the New York Bar.
After teaching for several years at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and the Paris Bar School (École de Formation du Barreau de Paris (EFB)), Mahasti now delivers lectures on topics such as artificial intelligence, DORA, contracting for major digital projects, managing the resulting litigation risks, and the evolution of legal professions in response to the development of LegalTech companies.
She is a regular speaker on Tech topics at the Cité de la Réussite and the Women’s Forum for the Economy.
Also, Mahasti Razavi has been Managing Partner of August Debouzy since January 1, 2018. In June 2022, in this capacity, she was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the French-American Foundation, an organization with which the firm has a long-standing partnership, underscoring its commitment to strengthening Franco-American relations.
