Position

Dace Silava-Tomsone is a well-known and highly regarded expert in the fields of real estate, construction and infrastructure, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Over the course of her more than 25-year professional career, she has advised numerous local and international companies on investment projects, corporate acquisitions, and the establishment of joint ventures, and has represented clients in contract management and dispute matters. Dace’s experience includes work on a wide range of large-scale commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects, including retail, office and residential developments, as well as railway, road, telecommunications, and energy facilities.

She is actively involved in legislative processes through her work in various NGO working groups.

Dace is the Chair of the COBALT Baltic Board and Head of the Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure Practice Group at COBALT Latvia.

Since 2022, Dace has held various positions within the International Construction Projects Committee of the International Bar Association (IBA). In 2026–2027, she serves as the Committee’s Senior Diversity and Inclusion Officer and as a member of the Project Finance Task Force. The International Bar Association is the world’s largest international professional organization of lawyers, bringing together more than 80,000 individual members and around 190 bar associations and law societies from over 170 countries.
