Bob Scharfe
Bob Scharfe is the Managing Partner and heads the Banking, Finance and Capital Markets practice of Luther’s Luxembourg office. He advises banks, multi-national corporations, and private equity firms on a wide range of banking and financing matters, capital markets, structured finance, securitisation and insolvency law aspects, and structuring private equity investments through Luxembourg. He also has solid experience in general corporate law.

Marion Lanne is a Counsel and a member of the Banking, Finance & Capital Markets practice at Luther’s Luxembourg office. She focuses on a wide range of banking, finance and capital markets matters. She has also gained sound experience in insurance and regulatory matters.

- Represented Bâloise Vie Luxembourg in numerous disputes, including successfully defending it in a long-running class action involving 31 Luxembourgish and Belgian applicants.
- Assisting ICM with reviewing a set of contracts under Luxembourg and French insurance law, in order for the client to launch their project of life insurance contract on the French market under the freedom to provide services.
- Assisting Swiss Life France with an important insurance advice in relation to how to write risks via collective insurance contracts according to the European and Luxembourgish legal interpretation.
- Assisting Suez RE with respect to the change of shareholding of its captive reinsurance undertaking Suez Re established in Luxembourg: public bid launched by the world leader Veolia for the acquisition of the second world leader Suez.
- Assisting Societe Generale Assurance with an insurance contract on how to sell non-life insurance products in Luxembourg under cross-border regulations.
- Advising one of CLYDE & CO Europe LLP’s client on regulatory requirements to notify terms and conditions of compulsory insurance policies to local insurance supervisory authority (Commissariat aux Assurances in Luxembourg).
- Advising HELVETIA on the possibility to issue contracts agreed as 'large risk’, between insurers and policyholders, under French law.
