Saweria joined the VVGB Trade Team in 2023. Her expertise is in WTO law and EU trade remedies law. She advises governments, exporting producers and industry associations on various aspects of international trade law and policy.

At the WTO, Saweria represents Indonesia in EU – CVD/AD on SSCRFP (Indonesia) and China in EU – Definitive CVDs on BEVs (China). She has also represented international companies and governments in numerous trade defense proceedings, including cases such as New Battery Electric Vehicles for Passengers from China.

Previously, Saweria worked in the dispute settlement divisions of the WTO, assisting panels that adjudicated disputes arising from various WTO agreements. Saweria has also worked in consulting in Africa, including supporting LDCs acceding to regional economic blocs and the WTO.

Saweria completed her LL.M. in International Economic Law and Policy at University of Barcelona and her LL.B. in Kenya. She is a member of the Law Society of Kenya.
