Maja is an independent Attorney at Law qualified in Serbia and practicing in cooperation with Karanovic & Partners as a Partner and co-head of the Banking & Finance Practice Group. With more than 20 years of experience, Maja has practiced in all areas of corporate and commercial law, advising multi- national banks, industries and trading companies, as well as government entities. She provides a full scope of legal assistance related to banking and finance matters, from large-scale financing transactions, regulatory matters and structured finance, to distressed deals. Maja has led numerous complex financing transactions for both lenders and the borrowers in a broad range of sectors, with particular expertise in energy (including wind, biogas, and solar), real estate and acquisition financing, project finance and sovereign debt. Maja also specialises in the area of capital market regulation.

Maja is also a member of The FinTech Lawyers Network, an international network of highly specialized FinTech lawyers.
