Career

Abraham Robinson’s practice currently focuses on patent drafting and prosecution, with an emphasis on artificial intelligence, computer-enabled inventions, and mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering.

Abraham has worked on patents in technical fields including: additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, aseptic fluid delivery, chemical engineering, cybersecurity, diagnostic methods and technologies, data science, gear manufacturing, Internet-of-Things, medical devices, MEMS (micro-electrical mechanical systems), mobile devices, orthodontics, photonics, plagiarism detection, robotics, semiconductor devices, software supply chain security, sensors, sterile containers, textiles, and wireless protocols.

Abraham has drafted and prosecuted patents in the US, Israel, and all major international jurisdictions.

Coming to patent work from a background in law has instilled in Abraham a deep value for client service. Abraham takes pride in attention to detail, clear explanations of patent office processes and procedures, and full and accurate explication of inventions in patent applications.

In the US, in addition to patent drafting, prosecution, and licensing, Abraham practiced IP litigation in forums including the U.S. District Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. From 2011-2012, Abraham clerked for a year for the judges of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Abraham graduated from Boston University Law School, where he served on the Law Review, and graduated from Yeshiva University with a degree in Chemistry. Prior to becoming an attorney, Abraham taught chemistry labs for several years while pursuing advanced religious studies. While in college, Abraham conducted research in organic chemistry at the Weizmann Institute of Science and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
