Nicolas Kyriakides is Partner and Head of the firm’s Banking and Insurance Law Departments and serves on the firm’s Board of Directors. He advises leading domestic and international banks and insurers on complex litigation matters.

He holds a Doctorate from the University of Oxford, where he studied under Professor Adrian Zuckerman, as well as LL.M. degrees from University College London and New York University. He has also been a Visiting Researcher at Harvard Law School with Professor David Rosenberg. He is the main editor of leading legal books, including Cyprus Civil Procedure and Cyprus Banking Law. He is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nicosia, specialising in Civil Procedure and Private International Law.

Nicolas’s practice covers banking litigation as well as the full spectrum of insurance law, including clinical and professional negligence, motor accidents, and employers’ and public liability. He advises both claimants and defendants, giving him a 360-degree perspective that benefits all his clients.

He has played an active role in public discourse on the ongoing reform of the Cypriot justice system and serves as the Chairman of the Civil Procedure Rules and Reform Committee of the Cyprus Bar Association.
