Iurie has 18 years of experience in the legal field and heads the Data Protection practice of the firm. His practice focuses on a wide range of data protection and privacy matters, including controls carried out by the data protection authority, internal audits or data breaches. His expertise also extends to helping companies navigate a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape in AI, data privacy and cybersecurity areas. In cybersecurity, Iurie brings a strategic approach to effectively responding to cyber incidents, advising companies on vulnerabilities or liability issues, and guiding them in taking adequate prevention or mitigation steps.

He has been part of the NNDKP team since 2007 and was promoted to Partner in 2022.

Iurie Cojocaru is fluent in English and a good speaker of French.

Iurie Cojocaru is a member of Bucharest Bar and of the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP).

Iurie Cojocaru graduated from the University of Bucharest Law School in 2005. He also holds a master's degree in Business awarded by the Bucharest Law School and a master's degree in European and International Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, Collège Juridique Franco-Roumain d’Etudes Européennes.
