Ciprian Păun has over 20 years of experience in the legal profession and is Co-head of NNDKP Cluj-Napoca Office. He guides clients through a broad range of transactional, commercial and operational matters, with a particular emphasis on the corporate and tax areas. On the corporate side, he brings his expertise in domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, as well as other general corporate advisory matters, helping clients implement their business optimization plans, while in the tax area, he regularly assists clients in resolving a wide range of tax contentious matters. Actively involved in academia, Ciprian has held various research and teaching positions in the areas of tax and business law at prestigious national and international institutions.

Ciprian joined NNDKP in 2019. He has held various teaching and research positions at prestigious Romanian and foreign universities, such as Plymouth State University (USA), École de Management de Normandie (Caen and Le Havre, France), Economic University of Vienna (Vienna, Austria), and University of Regensburg (Germany), University of Essen (Essen, Germany), University of Bucharest - Faculty of Law, West University of Timisoara- Faculty of Law, and is currently Associate Professor, Ph.D., at the Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca.

Ciprian Paun is fluent in English and German and a good speaker of French.

Ciprian Paun is a member of the Cluj County Bar. Also, he is a member of the European Association of Tax Law Professors and an Associate Professor, Ph.D., at the Faculty of Economic Sciences at Babes-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, teaching Fiscal Law and Business Law (since 2002).
